By God's mercy today, as we look deeper into the Bible, He allows us to have a better spiritual appreciation for the Biblical language on marriage. Of course God in His wisdom gives us the language on a level that we can relate to. Therefore I believe there is moral implication to the topic of Biblical Marriage. As we begin to understand more and more what the Bible is teaching spiritually about marriage, each of us is urged to prayerfully consider how these principles can be appliead to his/her own personal life.
Also, I have not been able to see anything in the spiritual language that would allow us to understand the moral teaching on marriage any differently than taught by some men in the past who believed that marriage is a divine union instituted by God and is to be 'till death do us part'. I have considered the possibility that like as God divorced for fornication and calls for His people not to be unequally yoked and also the fact that within the body today there is a separation that might justify believers leaving unsaved spouses. The problem with this logic is that our minds are sinful and most of the time we do things out of spite, pride and unrighteous anger. God however, is Just, Righteous and Holy and therefore He is the only one who can divorce. I believe the safest course of action for a believer who is unequally yoked is to be an example of the eternal, unconditional marriage that is between them and Christ.
