Sabbath: Rest in Christ for Salvation. Tribulation = Sabbath and calls for rest. Elect keep the Sabbath because they come out of tribulation

Ex 35:2 Six days shall work^04399 be done (appears to be NT age), but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day^06944, a sabbath^07676 of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.

Jer 48:10 Cursed be he that doeth the work^04399 of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.

Conclusion:

The seventh day Sabbath was instituted as a day of rest in the Old Testament. It was pointing to salvation in Christ. That day was fulfilled after Christ was buried and resurrected and was no longer to be physically observed. Spiritually believers keep the Sabbath remembering that Christ is the Savior. After the resurrection, God allowed Sunday (New Sabbath) to be observed as a time of coming together for fellowship. The ultimate fulfillment of the Sabbath, however, is the Day of the Lord. That is the tribulation where God calls for the corporate body to rest in Christ rather than in its own works. The unsaved in the churches today are not keeping the Sabbath and therefore come under God’s judgment. By God’s mercy, the Elect keep the Sabbath as they come out of the tribulation to find salvation in Christ.
