A quick look into how Noah best represents Christ who provides comfort to His people.

Ge 5:28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

Ge 5:29 And he called his name Noah (Rest), saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil (sorrow, hardship) of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

Christ the Comforter

La 1:17 Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her…..

La 1:16 For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Mt 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Tribulation Sorrow

Ge 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Mt 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Re 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Ge 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

La 1:18 The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.

The Curse: Thorns and thistles on the Church Body (ground)

Ge 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Jer 48:10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully,….

Ho 10:8 The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.

Isa 32:13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:
